Giordano's was founded in 1974 by brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio, who brought their mother Carmela's treasured Italian stuffed pizza recipe from Torino, Italy to the heart of Chicago. What began as a single restaurant on the South Side became the gold standard for giordanos deep dish pizza across the country.

The signature giordanos stuffed pizza features two layers of hand-pressed, flaky dough surrounding a generous filling of 100% Wisconsin mozzarella, topped with vine-ripened crushed tomatoes. It is not merely a meal — it is a Chicago institution.
